If you love Indian food but are also trying to stick to a low carb diet, you are going to love this simple recipe for Indian style cauliflower rice.
This “rice” goes especially well with richer dishes like my paneer korma, vegetable handi and Amritsari Nutri. Plus eating this cauliflower rice is a great and easy way to add more vegetables to your diet!
This dish really couldn’t be any simpler. I was inspired by the rice that you often find in Indian restaurants as well as South Indian style vegetable recipes.
HOW IT’S MADE
Heat your frying pan, wok, kadai or handi what ever you normally use for cooking with some oil. I’m using canola oil.
Let the oil heat up till it just starts to shimmer. Add in come cumin seeds some black mustard seeds.
When the cumin seeds start to turn golden brown and the mustard seeds start to pop add in your cauliflower rice. I go straight from frozen here. Fry it up for a few minutes and your done!

Notes
- If you pan isn’t not enough water may form from the cauliflower. Either drain the water away, or move the cauliflower in the pan so the water can evaporate as quickly as possible.
